Jennifer Keenan

Greetings, beautiful souls! My name is Jennifer Keenan. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher with training in Gentle Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Yin Yoga. I am in the process of completing my 500 hour yoga teacher training and becoming a Master Reiki Practitioner as well. I also have a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. I love all things creative, and my classes almost always revolve around a centralized theme. To me, a successful yoga practice leaves one feeling as though they’ve gotten a “soul massage”. My goal is to provide you with the same experience—that you leave my classes feeling better physically, as well as more centered and at peace, and ready to tackle anything that should come your way! I’m looking forward to practicing with you!
Life is short.

Erin Krizay

Erin first became interested in yoga and meditation in her early 20s and started practicing at Bird Rock Yoga in Pacific Beach. A few years later as a Peace Corps volunteer teacher in Sierra Leone, Erin sorely missed having access to yoga classes, and decided to travel to India over her summer break to complete her yoga teacher training at a small ashram called Yoga Vidya Gurukul. There she had the privilege to not only study asana, but also to experience the traditional yogic lifestyle: rising early for mantra chanting, adhering to an ayurvedic diet, offering service through karma yoga, and practicing meditation. Erin’s “vinyatha” style blends her training in traditional hatha techniques with a more typically American vinyasa flow format. Her class emphasizes the importance of listening to the body, utilizing the breath and allowing muscles to relax to go deeper into postures rather than pushing an edge, and cultivating a spirit of playfulness. Off the mat, Erin is currently studying Massage Therapy at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health. She also enjoys dancing with the Vixen Belly Dance Company and House of Psyche Sacred Dance Company, as well as playing with her beloved cat, Lady Gaga.

Theresa Timmes

Theresa started practicing yoga in 2000 to help manage acute back pain and found a way of life. Often said in yoga and true in her experience, ‘we come for one reason but end up staying for another’. She learnt to manage her pain and eventually learned to release it. The basis for her practice and what she teaches is the connection of movement to breath and the connection of heart to a higher source that invites the mind and body to stillness.

Teaching a Vinyasa flow, Hatha, Prenatal or a Gentle yoga class, Theresa’s passion lies in creating space within that allows for grounding in our physical bodies, an opening in our hearts and a calmer mind. Reducing the chatter in our minds, allows us to release stress.
Growing up playing sports, an adult active lifestyle became the norm. Yoga has helped nurse Theresa back to health after numerous surgeries from repetitive injuries. One of her core beliefs is that we come to our mats in the mental, physical and spiritual state that we are in and when we choose the yoga that best fits our needs at that moment, be it dynamic or gentle, we are practicing self-love and compassion. Come to your mat as you are!

Having completed her Yoga Teacher Training, Prenatal, Restorative and Gentle Teacher training at the Soul of Yoga, she has additionally completed a Teaching Pranayama modality, and is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner.

Amanda Joy

Amanda Joy is a yoga instructor, reiki practitioner, animal lover, and world traveler.

Amanda is originally from the East Coast, where she worked in public health + completed her Masters in Public Health with a focus in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. In 2021, Amanda left the East Coast and began her soul's journey around the world, which led her to a passion for yoga and reiki.

Her travels began as a digital nomad, living and working remotely by the sea in Panama and Costa Rica, where she completed her yoga teacher training after receiving a message to do so during her meditation. The journey then led her to Hawaii, where she fell in love with island living and discovered the magic of reiki energy healing.

After unexpectedly losing her remote job, Amanda decided to continue onwards with her travels for a sabbatical from her public health career. She dedicated her career break to traveling and teaching yoga, as well as studying with master healers around the world. She lived on a sailboat in French Polynesia, brought yoga to remote islands of Fiji, and taught yoga, organized workshops + shadowed healers across her soul's home in New Zealand.

Now based in San Diego, California, Amanda is filled with joy to offer yoga at Sacred Fusion Yoga. She brings a warm heart and a gentle approach to her yoga classes, and her goal is for you to leave feeling lighter and with a smile on your face.
